Trading Site Browser Requirements

The trading site requires either Netscape Navigator version 7.0 or Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher with 128-bit encryption, Cookies and SSL enabled on Microsoft® Windows9x, Me, NT, 2000 & XP operating systems. Other operating systems such as Linux and Macintosh are not officially supported. However, if you are using an unsupported operating system, use the latest version of Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer to access the trading site. If you have any problems or questions, please contact Technical Support.

Internet Appliances

The trading site does not support Internet appliances such as cell phones, hand-held web devices or Web TV.

How do I change my password/PIN?

To change your password/PIN, login to the Place Trade Financial Trading Site. Select Account Maintenance, then select Change PIN. Follow the instructions on the page to change your password/PIN. We recommend that you change your password/PIN regularly. Remember to never give out your password/PIN.

Invalid Password

Double-check that you are using the correct username and password/PIN. If you are uncertain about this information contact Customer Service.

Troubleshoot Trading Site Access

If you are having difficulty connecting to Place Trade Financial's Trading Site, make sure that you are not using a bookmark. You can connect to the Trading Site by clicking on the Client Login link in the upper right corner of the main Place Trade Financial web site.

If you continue to have difficulty, try to clearing you browser's cache. Many browsers use caching in order to load web pages quicker. This system stores data for a time and presents the stored data when you try to access a previously viewed web page. The cache system can be disabled. Follow the links below for instructions on how to clear your browser's cache and/or to disable caching.

If you are unable to login from work, it is likely that your business has a firewall that prevents certain types of Internet access. A firewall keeps your company's network secure but can also prevent you from accessing your account.

Why is my Internet connection slow?

There are many factors that affect your Internet connection:

The higher the baud rate of your modem the faster your Internet connection will be. Place Trade Financial recommends a 56K modem. For peak performance you may consider ISDN, DSL, Cable or Satellite connectivity.

Is there special software needed to access my account?

No. The only software you need to access your account is a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. Both of these browsers can be downloaded for free.

Why can't I download or view forms from the web site?

The forms on this web site are in Adobe PDF format. To view or download these forms you need Adobe Acrobat® Reader 5.0 or higher. Adobe Acrobat® Reader is free software that lets you view and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files on your computer.
